Dear colleagues

Just to inform you that i have been given a provisional  ethics approval on condition that i get the green light from the Africa Centre Community Advisory Board (CAB). My presentation to the CAB is scheduled for the 26th of May. It has been a long and winding road to get the requisite approvals but its surely coming to an end.

I am happy to inform you that a number of developments have occurred since my last update in November. Following the approval of my proposal by the Postgraduate Committee in December 2015, the protocol was submitted to the research ethics committee and the outcome of the review is still pending. As for me, I have made minimal progress this year, as it took more time than I had anticipated to get all necessary approvals before commencing data collection.
