Progress on the Bio2USER study --- Some insights from the data

Hi Collegues,

I am delighted to let you know that I successfully completed the data collection a few months ago. At the moment I am in the process of drafting my manuscript for publication. There are a lot of interesting insights coming out from the data and I can’t wait to share with you at the upcoming summer school in September.

I would like to bring it to your attention that my bursary project is going on well. So far, I just over thirty IDIs that have already been transcribed. At the moment, I am in the process of initial coding of the data. There are a lot of interesting insights coming from the data and I can't wait to share with the rest of the group during the up-coming Summer School.

Hi All,

I am delighted to give you a brief update about my bursary project. At the moment, I am in the process of data collection. Twenty two semi-structured interviews out of the planned forty three have already been conducted. The data that is coming out is so interesting. One thing that is coming out clear from my data is that most Malawians using our primary health care system are so ignorant about issues on bioethics.

 I am anticipating being through with data collection…

I must say I am enjoying data collection. So far so good. However the question I always ask myself is "Is it a good practice to refer to the study guide when conducting interviews with study participants?"
