I am delighted to let you know that I successfully completed the data collection a few months ago. At the moment I am in the process of drafting my manuscript for publication. I am delighted to give you a brief update about my bursary project. At the moment, I am in the process of data collection. Twenty two semi-structured interviews out of the planned forty three have already been conducted. The data that is coming out is so interesting. One thing that is coming out clear from my data is that most Malawians using our primary health care system are so ignorant about issues on bioethics.

I must say I am enjoying data collection. So far so good. However the question I always ask myself is "Is it a good practice to refer to the study guide when conducting interviews with study participants?"
I am delighted to inform you all that my research proposal titled “Bioethics of biometrics within the health care system and medical research in Malawi” has just been approved by the College of Medicine Research and Ethics Committee (COMREC). In this regard, I am planning to pilot my data collection tools in the next few days.
