Evaluation of the Tak Province community Ethics Advisory Board

Project location: Thai-Burmese Border (around Maesod, Tak Province)

Initial steps for project implementation:

  1. Apply for ethical approval from Ethical Committee , Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University (approved on 27th August 2012 for 1 year) Ref# TMEC 12-043#
  2. Translation and printing of project documents (e.g. informed consent form to local language, interview guide) (done)

Methods using in the project:

  • Individual in depth interview
  • Focus group discussion

  • Research physicians total                                     (n=3)
  • Existing T- CAB members                                     (n=3)
  • Myanmar physicians working in other iNGO            ( 1 FGD)
  • Group of  medical persons ( non research staffs)      (1 FGD)
  • Group of  medical persons ( research staffs)             (1 FGD)
  • Teachers group                                                      (1 FGD)
  • Research participants/guardian                                 (n=3)
  • Local community member                                        (n=3)

Proposed target date to complete data collection

(include transcribing & translation)
