Kyaw earns his DPhil from University of Oxford

On 16 Feb, GHBN Ethics Bursary Fellow - Kyaw Myo Tun of MOCRU successfully defended his DPhil thesis, Artemisinin resistant falciparum malaria in Myanmar at the University of Oxford. Prof Nick Day was Kyaw¹s main thesis supervisor, while Dr Frank Smithuis and Prof Peter Horby were co-supervisors. Examiners were Prof Brain Angus, Director of the Oxford Centre for Clinical Tropical Medicine and Prof Chris Whitty, Chief Scientific Adviser (Department of Health) and London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (LSTMH).”

Kyaw will  begin his research titled: Ethical issues in the recruitment of teenagers and young people in clinical research in Myanmar.
