Hi everyone, as you know Khin Maung Lwin and I are working with the community advisory board on the Thai-Myanmar border. I am going to present a paper at the American Society of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine meeting next week in Philadelphia. It is about key success indicators against which we think we should evaluate our CAB.
A quick update on my bursary project. We'd to temporarily halt participant recruitment as our annual ethical approval was ending and had to renew it. The good news is, we applied for renewal and are waiting for a signed copy of the approval likely next week. We will resume recruitment once that is received. We are all excited to complete recruitment and finalise the analysis.

Although important progress has been made during the last decade, severe falciparum malaria remains a major cause of mortality, especially in children under five in sub-Saharan Africa.
