Ethics & Engagement across the Wellcome Trust Major Overseas Programmes

I am delighted to inform you that on January 6th 2015, i was chosen to receive the 2015 Pillars of PRIM&R Award. PRIM&R stands for Public Responsibility In Medical AND Research and its role is to advance the highest ethical standards in the conduct of biomedical, behavioral, and social science research through education, membership services, professional certification, public policy initiatives, and community building. The purpose of the 2015 Pillars of PRIM&R Award is to memorialize and honor PRIM&R’s Pillars—Drs. Sanford Chodosh, Louis Lasagna, Harry Rozmiarek, and Herman Wigodsky—four revered and longstanding Board of Directors members who had outstanding careers in the fields of research ethics and higher education. The award acknowledges individuals whose professional endeavors and scholarship in the field of research ethics reflects PRIM&R’s mission, as well as the core values of PRIM&R Pillars.

The award also comes with a small token of USD 1000, which the winner is given to carry out a project. To this end, i am happy to report that dedicated this money to advancing the work started through the GHBN bursary and hope to continue updating you with more good news as it unfolds. I take this opportunity to thank Mike, Dina and the entire GHBN management for your support. May you have a happy and fulfilling new 2015.
